The night view of Lantau Island is one of the most charming scenes in Macau. Standing beneath the lighthouse, the entire Macau Peninsula comes into view. The lights of thousands of houses are twinkling, just like stars in the sky. I walked into a Portuguese-style restaurant on the top of the mountain and ordered a Portuguese chicken dish.
Portuguese chicken is one of the representative dishes of Portuguese cuisine in Macau. The chicken is marinated and the curry sauce is rich. The potatoes absorb the soup and the texture is rich and varied. The side dishes are onions, bell peppers and mushrooms, which are stir-fried on the iron plate to release an inviting aroma. The entire dish is full of color, aroma and taste, making people yearn for it.
When visiting Macau, how can one not try the Macau beer? Following the recommendation of the waiter, I chose the Macau Golden Beer. It has a deep color, with a rich malt aroma and a slight caramel flavor. It is smooth in the mouth and is exactly the kind of taste I like.
The restaurant was filled with couples and tourists. They were eating Portuguese chicken while enjoying the night view. A couple at the next table were chatting softly, reminiscing about their past happy times. This warm atmosphere made one feel extremely happy.
When I left, I held an empty plate in my hand, and the aroma of the Portuguese chicken still lingered in my mouth.
