At night, Taipa Guanyi Street is brightly lit and crowded with tourists. I avoided the congestion on the main street and entered a small alley. I discovered an old store that only locals knew about. The store had no fancy decoration. There were only a few old wooden tables and a few plastic chairs, but they were filled with diners.

Macau Beer was also a local brand in Macau that was established in 1996 and has been around since then. In this fast-paced era, having a store, a bowl of porridge, and a cup of beer allows one to slow down and feel the warmth of life, which is such a luxurious thing. After paying the bill, I walked out of the store. The hustle and bustle of Guan Jie Street was left behind, but my heart was exceptionally warm.
